Pisa's Orto Botanico di Pisa (Botanical Gardens) are located in the centre of Pisa, just a couple of minutes walk from Pisa's Leaning Tower. Founded in the mid-16th century, Pisa's Orto Botanico di Pisa (Botanical Gardens) are the oldest botanic gardens in Italy and the whole of Europe.

Containing an enormous collection of mature specimens from all over the world, the Pisa Botanical Gardens are now part of Pisa University and offer a peaceful place to relax, right in the heart of Pisa.

Guided tours of the Orto Botanico di Pisa are available and outdoor theatrical pieces for children and adults are often performed during the summer months.

Open: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:30, Saturday 08:00 to 13:00
Closed: Sunday
